During this time, users will not be able to check passport data. So new GOV.UK Verify users will not be able to register using a passport.

All other services will be operational.

Identified - Hello,

We are aware of and investigating a problem with the GOV.UK Verify Document Checking Service that prevents checking of GB (DVLA) and NI (DVA) driving licences.

Users are still able to check passports. GOV.UK Verify users who already have an identity are unaffected.

We have identified the problem and are working on a fix. We are looking into this as a matter of urgency and we will update you as soon as we know more.

A technical issue has been identified at HMRC. This is causing an issue for people accessing HMRC services through GOV.UK verify.
Users are currently passing through authentication but on clicking subsequent service is unavailable, with nothing to view

HMRC are currently working on this issue and a further update will be posted.

Users who are already verified and using the service to sign-in will not be impacted.
